A little update of Liz…

Filed under: Whats gone tits up today then? — Red May 22, 2007 @ 11:24 am

Well, holiday soon in 20ish days! My favourite song at the mo is ‘Though the glass’ by stone sour. I have been having terrible trouble with my back and legs due to my lack of pelvis tilt, and the NHS is pants. Its going to take me ages to get any kind of help or advice. Sometimes I can’t even use the clutch in my car so I can’t drive.

At work we had our appraisals, this was my list of skills to prove I had done something in the past year as my company had no real structure until now.

Well? Do I sound as though I could be classed as an E-commerce Consultant as I am proficient with 2 major auction management systems?

Today it seems there is a rumour that we won’t be getting any extra money to become the ‘e-commerce specialists, producing papers and becoming externally recognised for our work’ they want. Do they think if we become e-commerce specialists, externally recognised, producing papers and speaking at seminars we will stick around? Nothing to add onto our already pitiful wage (and I am on more than some)….oh but a plan will be put in place…..

This place is full of plans that never come to fruition.

Why I would never give to the RSPCA…

Filed under: Random Narrative — Red @ 9:38 am

Because they don’t care unless they can sue for a large amount of money. At my work, there is a lake and a small pond where 2 wild drakes currently reside. Its a father and son, we seemed to have lost the Mommy. The son, Master Duck had an abscess on the side of his face, feathers missing and scars everywhere when he came for his hovis granary on Saturday night. Hobbling along with a limp on his neon orange leg. So I called the RSPCA twice, and nothing but ‘Do you want to be informed of our fund raising opportunities and events?’

No. Not unless you fix my DUCK. Poor master duck as really suffering. We are going to watch him till Wednesday, then catch him ( god knows how, but he might be so sick by then) and take him to the vet, which won’t hopefully cost anything as he is a wild duck.

The Heron as around Sunday so I bet he was responsible. He killed all the moor hens chicks, he is lucky he is a protected species or the owner would have had him by now for eating £3000 worth of carp and killing the peacock babies, moor hen chicks and ducklings. He thinks he is so cool, I hope he runs into a helicopter.

The Word on Social Shopping

Social shopping sites have hit the US by storm and also search engines. An item placed on Crowdstorm will be indexed on search engines within the week. Unfortunately no link is provided by Crowdstorm to the item but if it is Brand awareness and customer appreciation you want then Crowdstorm is for you. More specialist sites have cropped up like Stylehive where you can provide a link and tags for the item. Most of the items on style hive are fashion orientated, but again heavily optimised. If you are struggling for a particular keyword ranking then a site such as stylehive (as long as the products match) is for you. Other sites to include in this post are Kaboodle, ThisNext and Wists. When you join any one of these sites you are given an array of free widgets to show off your choices and recommendations on your blog or site. A smart retailer will make sure that he or she has some of her products on these sites to make sure certain keywords are covered.
