JET

Ok, after much deliberation…I have decided, that in time for my 30th birthday I am going to enrol in JET. (Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme) I will probably only stay for a year. Before then I am going to learn japanese. I think 4 years will be long enough for a basic understanding of the japanese language. I am not ready to leave the country at the moment but I have been thinking on this for about 18 months…plans plans plans….its a big leap. I have a few JET freinds…one leaving this month! Wooot!

Love

I got something today in the post that reminded me that love never dies, and it always forces you to think of a person, regardless of your circumstances. It is as innocent as a child and should never be constrained or denied, even though both parties may not be able to move on it. It also reminded me that I have not loved since or really taken an interest in anyone because of that love. I shall now change that (much to the delight of leki who is the only one who reads my blogs and ultimatly written for the benefit of a small circle) and not ‘move’ on with my life more like ‘get on’ with my life.
Now lek, this is not a free reign to set me up with various muppets on friday! (or any day)

God damn how mushy and I today? I need to beat myself with barbed wire to return to my normal self.

Weekends Away!

I am super excited about my weekend away with Rico! We is gonna have the fun time. We can walk along the beach, talk in our own ’special’ way. Leki! Honey….infest is gonna be a mix of strongbow and black, the only time I get plastered. Outfits honey…..outfits….what themes are we gonna go for? I would like to wear my military outfit again as it cost me lots of money. I am givin up the chocolate love so I can look better in my kitty outfit…did you get yours? ALICE IN WONDERLAND! We have not done that theme yet…I have the outfit ready to go…we need flamingos.

Cookie Club…

Cookie Club… Current mood: cheerful I so can’t wait!!!!!! ATOMIC - Friday night at The Cookie Club is Retro night featuring two decades of music. In the downstairs room we have the 80’s and in the upstairs room it is the 90’s. Starting with ATOMIC downstairs, this is an 80’s night where we try and offer you a little something different to the usual standard 80’s night. Okay you still get your Duran Duran, A-Ha, Michael Jackson etc, but the bulk of music on offer downstairs you might say tends to come from the more credible side of the 80’s. On this night we tend to play music from the likes of The Jam, Cure, Smiths, New Order, Blondie, Madness, Specials, Dexy’s, Rem, U2,Talking Heads,The Police, The Clash, Human League, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, Adam & The Ants, Housemartins, B-52’s, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith. We also play some of the best tracks from the 70’s including the likes of the Sex Pistols, Undertones, Ramones, Stranglers, Buzzcocks, T-Rex, Bowie, Iggy Pop etc. There’s something in there for everybody whether you are just into the pop side of the 80’s or are up for a bit of New Romantic action. The innovative bands of the genre always feature strongly along with a good dose of Ska and Punk Classics. SABOTAGE - Upstairs is the 90’s mix and with this you get a wide range of music from the decade, anything from Acid House to Brit-Pop. Dance music from the likes of KLF, Shamen, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Leftfield is mixed in alongside the more pop elements of the genre including Snap, N-Trance etc. You get a great segment of Indie sounds from the usual suspects such as Oasis, Charlatans, Happy Mondays, Blur, The Verve, Beastie Boys etc. The 90’s of course were great for alot of one off hits, remember ‘Jump Around’, ‘Two Princes’, A Girl Like You’ and ‘Brimful Of Asha’. Friday nights at the Cookie are all about fun and having a great night out in a friendly atmosphere.
